India may pick in-form players: Ganguly

"Options are open. We will probably have to pick those who are in form," Ganguly said.

Captain Sourav Ganguly on Wednesday put the current players on notice when he warned them not to take their place in the squad for granted and indicated that those in form had a chance to break into the team.

"Options are open. Definitely, yes. We will probably have to reach the stage where we might pick those who are in form. That's the key," Ganguly said after India Seniors failed to click with the bat in a practice match against India A.

Asked if any good performance caught his attention in the ongoing four-day practice game between India Seniors and India A, he pointed to Sridharan Sriram's century as well as Joginder Sharma's three-wicket haul.

"Joginder bowled very well. There was not much pace on the wicket. He bowled with a lot of nip and accuracy," he said, adding, a lot of India A players have been doing well.

He mentioned Sharma, Sriram, SS Paul, Dinesh Mongia, MS Dhoni and Dinesh Karthick in this context.
