The Army has expressed "serious concern" over Monday and Tuesday's infiltration attempts along the Line of Control (LoC) to the Pakistan Army at a flag meeting on Friday. Sources said Pakistan was told that infiltration "cannot be accepted".
The 90-minute brigade commnder-level flag meeting was held at Chakan-Da-Bagh in Poonch on Friday.
"The Pakistan delegation was told in very strong terms about our concerns regarding the infiltration attempts in Krishna Ghati sector on January 13 and 14," said an Army spokesperson.
Sources said Pakistan was also told that India would respond in "mature and equal measures" if attempts to violate the ceasefire agreement continued.
The infiltration attempts on January 13 and 14 were first incidents after the December 14 Director General Military Operations-level meeting in Pakistan, held after nearly a decade.
Last year, there were nearly 200 incidents of ceasefire violations, though no major infiltration attempts have taken place this year.
Army chief General Bikram Singh on Monday had said he had given freedom of action to the local commanders to deal with the situation as they deemed appropriate. He had said India would "respond with equal measure" if Pakistan broke rules, adding that 10 Pakistani Army personnel had been killed in recent military action.
