Insurgent killed in Manipur gunfight
An insurgent of banned United National Liberation Front (UNLF) was killed in a gunfight with Assam Rifles personnel in Manipur's Chandel district, official sources said on Sunday.

An insurgent of banned United National Liberation Front (UNLF) was killed in a gunfight with Assam Rifles personnel in Manipur's Chandel district, official sources said on Sunday.
Boboi Singh was killed when the personnel of 29th Assam Rifles battalion, patrolling Laibikhul area on Saturday, exchanged fire with suspected UNLF insurgents, sources said.
A 9 mm pistol, a magazine and some rounds of ammunition were seized from the spot, officers said.
The body has been brought to Regional Institute of Medical Science and Hospital in Imphal for post-mortem, sources said.
Over 82 persons were so far killed in militancy-related incidents in Manipur this year.
