J&K sex scandal: CBI submits lists to HC

The Jammu and Kashmir High Court listed the high profile scandal for hearing on September 27.

Central Bureau of Investigation, which is investigating the sex scandal case in Jammu and Kashmir, has submitted two lists of persons allegedly involved in the case to the Jammu and Kashmir High Court.

The central investigating agency filed the lists of persons involved in the scandal to the division bench of the court comprising of Justices Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain and BA Kirmani during the hearing on Thursday.

However, the CBI counsel sought more time to submit the third list of persons involved in the case which was granted by the bench. It directed the investigating agency to do the same by the next date of hearing.

The court listed the case for hearing on September 27.

On September 13, the court directed the CBI counsel SA Naik to produce a complete list of all persons allegedly involved indicating the action taken or proposed to be taken in each case.

CBI has so far arrested 18 persons including two former state ministers, an IAS officer, two police officers, a DIG of Border Security Force, an ex-additional Advocate General, a hotel manager and the alleged kingpin of the racket.
