The 'Andhra JAC' was formed by TDP, PRP and student unions from various universities and other groups from Coastal and Rayalaseema districts in support of Unified Andhra Pradesh.

After bandh in coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema, the JAC would also organise rail blockade next day on January 5 in the region in support of its demand for unified Andhra Pradesh, Acharya Nagarjuna University Professor Samuel, who chaired the meeting told mediapersons.

The JAC, which met here today under the chairmanship of Acharya Nagarjuna University's Professor Samuel, was attended by large number from Congress, TDP and PRP.

The speakers at the meeting opposed the meeting called by the Union Home Ministry on January 5. The JAC felt that
seeking of opinion is not necessary in view of the people's mandate in the recent general elections.
