Sharmila, sister of YS Jaganmohan Reddy, began her padayatra from Turkayamjal in Hayatnagar mandal of neighbouring Ranga Reddy district.

She had to suspend her foot march after suffering a knee injury on December 15 last year. She underwent a surgery on December 18 and was now declared fit to resume the yatra.

YSR Congress Party honorary president YS Vijayamma and YS Bharathi accompanied Sharmila during the 'padayatra', YSRCP said in a release.
