Kudankulam protests: Swamy wants army to assist Tamil Nadu govt

Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy today demanded that the Indian Army be put on stand-by to assist the Tamil Nadu government in quelling the protesters at the Kudankulam Nuclear power plant.

Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy on Monday demanded that the Indian Army be put on stand-by to assist the Tamil Nadu government in quelling the protesters at the Kudankulam Nuclear power plant.

He said such a step was necessary as the protesters have shown their "true face" now.

Swamy also claimed that he had information that LTTE sympathisers and Naxalites have penetrated into this agitation.
