Footwear manufacturer Liberty Shoes Ltd on Saturday reported 13.68 per cent increase in consolidated net profit for the third quarter ended December 2005 at Rs 4.98 crore compared to Rs 4.38 crore in the same period last fiscal.

The company said its net sales, however, decreased by 4.22 per cent to Rs 50.18 crore as against Rs 52.24 crore during the same time previous year, Liberty said in a release.
The footwear firm said the financial results were on consolidated basis including figures of its subsidiary Liberty Retail Revolutions Ltd.
Liberty said it has paid its first interim dividend of Rs 5 per share and issued bonus shares in the ratio of 1:1 to the shareholders.
