More seats in Class XI at govt schools in city
THE EDUCATION department has increased five seats per section in Class XI at government schools of the city from this year. There are around 3,000 seats in medical and non-medical streams, around 1,250 seats in commerce stream and around 4,100 seats in arts at various government schools.

THE EDUCATION department has increased five seats per section in Class XI at government schools of the city from this year. There are around 3,000 seats in medical and non-medical streams, around 1,250 seats in commerce stream and around 4,100 seats in arts at various government schools.
The decision would result in 55 seats per section at various government schools from the present 50. Department has also introduced 60 seats in commerce stream at GMSSS 22. In GMSSS 37 the sections for science streams have been increased from three to five.
The prospectus will be available today at GMSSS-23, GMSSS-Manimajra, GMSSS-33 and GMSSS-40.
