The Madhya Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has written to director generals of police (DGPs) of four neighbouring states, seeking their help in nabbing five Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) operatives, who had escaped from Khandwa Jail on October 1, 2013.
After a bomb blast occurred at a hideout of these operatives in Bijnore town of Uttar Pradesh on September 12, the location of all five fugitives of Khandwa jail were traced in four states, including Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra. Sources said the letter has been sent to police chiefs of all these states and they have been requested to help MP ATS in nabbing the absconding SIMI operatives.
Six SIMI operatives, including Abu Faizal alias doctor, who is said to be the chief of MP SIMI module, Guddu alias Mahboob, Aizaduddin alias Aizaz, Zakir Hussain, Aslam Ayub Khan and Amzad Khan had escaped from the Khandwa Jail, after scaling the wall. Faizal was later arrested from Madhya Pradesh-Maharashtra border while the other five are still on run.
According to ATS sources, Guddu had suffered burns in the blast that occurred in September this year, when a bomb, they were reportedly making, went off. Later, all of them had escaped from Binjore.

{{/usCountry}}According to MP ATS sources, Guddu was left by his fellow SIMI operatives on MP-Maharashtra border and he is being taken care of by his mother Nazma and few other SIMI operatives.
MP ATS believes that Guddu and his mother Nazma, whose location was recently found at a remote village of Maharashtra, are being provided financial assistance by his four associates.
On Saturday, Madhya Pradesh police issued a photograph of Nazma, who has reportedly rented a house in a remote village in Maharashtra and taking care of Guddu.
