MVVC beat Shivdham XI; enter semifinals

A CRACKING ton by Ajay today helped MVVC to make it to the semifinals of the Kamarlal Chaudhary Memorial Cricket Tournament being organised at Bab-e-Aali Stadium. MVVC defeated Shivdham XI by 109 runs. Ajay was declared Man of the Match. After losing top batsmen, Ajay and Sonu played a responsible knock.

A CRACKING ton by Ajay today helped MVVC to make it to the semifinals of the Kamarlal Chaudhary Memorial Cricket Tournament being organised at Bab-e-Aali Stadium.  MVVC defeated Shivdham XI by 109 runs. Ajay was declared Man of the Match. After losing top batsmen, Ajay and Sonu played a responsible knock.

While Ajay went around hitting boundaries, Sonu played the sheet-anchor role and kept the scoreboard ticking by stealing ones and twos.  Ajay’s 107 runs came off 52 deliveries and was studded with 13 boundaries and 6 sixes. Sonu came good with 65 runs.

These good innings helped the team to pile up 259 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Following a dismal bowling spell, Shivdam XI failed with the bat as well. It made 150 runs in 23 overs for the loss of six wickets.
