Actor Navin Nischol and his brother Pravin, held on the charge of abetting the suicide of Navin's wife Geetanjali, were on Saturday granted bail by a sessions court.

Sessions judge ND Deshpande granted bail to both for the sum of Rs 10,000 each.

Earlier, both were produced before a magistrate who extended their police custody till May 9. However, in view of the sessions court granting bail, the duo would be released from prison.
Geetanjali was found hanging at the couple's Mahim residence on April 22, and in a suicide note held Navin and Pravin responsible for her extreme act.
