Leading Indians like banker Nasser Munjee, Air chief marshal Anil Tipnis and actor Abhishek Bachchan are scheduled to participate in the inaugural Economic Forum for India (EFIL) at London School of Economics to be launched on Saturday, March 15.
Thr organisers told Hindustan Times that the idea for EFIL was conceived by committee members of the India-focussed society at LSE called the Society for the Promotion of Indian Culture and Ethos (SPICE). The event will include panel discussions on finance and entrepreneurship.
Speakers at the event include Ranjan Mathai, India’s high commissioner to the UK, Lord Karan Bilimoria, Lord Meghnad Desai and investment consultant Deepak Lalwani.

EFIL is expected to be an annual event.
The forum, to be attended mostly by students and representatives of corporate groups, is expected to raise the profile and scope of SPICE and Indian interests at LSE.
