Insisting that there is a rise in terrorism-related violence in Jammu and Kashmir, new Army Chief General Deepak Kapoor on Saturday said there will be no troop reduction till the state returns to normalcy.
"The attempts by terrorists to infiltrate into the (Kashmir) valley for increasing the level of violence are still continuing. The killing of nine terrorists in Budgam on Wednesday and three in Tangdhar on Friday is a proof of it," he told reporters after being briefed by the officers of 34 Rashtriya Rifles in Budgam.
