A person was killed and 19 others were injured on Friday in a road accident at Panwadi village on the Agra-Mumbai road near Shajapur.
The accident occurred when a Sarangpur-bound truck hit a tempo carrying children from Panwadi village to school. The tempo driver, identified as Balram (27), died in the mishap, police said.

Three of the 19 injured, all aged between seven and 15 years, sustained severe injuries and were sent to Indore for treatment. The rest were admitted to the district hospital, police said.
A hunt was launched to nab the truck's driver who fled after the accident.
