Pak girl undergoes liver transplant

Seven-year old Hadiya Khan, a Pakistani national, will now be able to enjoy life once again. She was suffering from a liver problem and was treated at the city-based Medanta-the Medicity hospital.

Seven-year old Hadiya Khan, a Pakistani national, will now be able to enjoy life once again. She was suffering from a liver problem and was treated at the city-based Medanta-the Medicity hospital. She was operated for liver transplant on Monday. Her aunt donated a portion of her liver for the girl.

Sajjat Khan, Hadiya's father, said, “She was undergoing treatment at a Lahore-based hospital from the past three years. Later, our doctor suggested that we come to India. I am happy that the operation was successful.”

All praise for India, Khan said, "When I was in need of blood, so many people who volunteered to donate blood.
