The incident took place at Rorawali, a village close to the Indo-Pak border near the Attari checkpost.

Confirming the incident, a senior intelligence official posted on the Indo-Pak border said that information in this regard has already been passed on to the Union Ministry of Home Affairs through the BSF headquarters in Delhi.

The incident has been taken very seriously and the matter would be taken up with the Pakistan Rangers by BSF during a flag meeting tonight to get the antecedents of the slain intruder, he said.
