PDP welcomes HC directions in Shopian rape and murder case
The Peoples' Democratic Party on Thursday welcomed the Jammu and Kashmir High Court's directions in the Shopian rape and murder case and said its intervention would lead to justice.

The Peoples' Democratic Party on Thursday welcomed the Jammu and Kashmir High Court's directions in the Shopian rape and murder case and said its intervention would lead to justice.
"These (court directions) could to a great extent help in neutralising the negative impact of the cover up operation witnessed in investigation of this case so far," PDP president Mehbooba Mufti said in a statement in Srinagar on Thursday.
While it should hopefully lead to justice for the victims and punishment for the offenders, an honest criminal investigation could also help in identifying the "hidden hand behind the cover up attempts", she said.
