Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has called a meeting of Health Ministry officials on Thursday to review the situation arising from the outbreak of vector-borne diseases in the country.

"The Prime Minister will like to review the status of control of vecto-borne diseases such as Japanese Encephalitis, dengue and hepatitis in the country tomorrow," official sources said.

The meeting has been called in view of the Japanese Encephalitis outbreak in UP which claimed many lives, they said.
