Police are investigating a case of alleged conversion against some Christian priests in Hindolia village of Surat district.

"We have just got an oral complaint from some villagers of Bardoli taluka about two Christian priests trying to convert some locals," BK Jha, Superintendent of Police (Surat Rural) said.

"However, there is no written complaint lodged in this matter till now," he said adding police were looking into the matter.

"Our policemen were also present at the village where some Christians including an Indian and a foreign priest had gathered and were reading the Bible," Jha added.
