According to police, a 25-year-old pregnant woman is shot dead by some unidentified persons inside a slum in a north-east suburb.

Some unidentified persons shot at Renudevi Jaiswal using a firearm outside a grocery store in suburban Ghatkopar at around 2130 hours last evening, they said.

The seven months pregnant Jaiswal, whose husband works as a hawker, was hit in the stomach and was rushed to the nearby Rajawadi Hospital by a rickshaw driver.

She succumbed to the bullet injury this morning while being administered treatment at the hospital, they said.
Police suspect the murder to be the fallout of a love traingle.
