Taking strong exception to use of the word "kabza" (unauthorised possession) by Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, the state Congress on Wednesday demanded his resignation.

"This absurd statement of Sukhbir Badal that he will not leave ‘Kabza’ of Punjab for the next 25 years is a reflection of his feudal and autocratic mindset," Punjab Congress spokesman Sukhpal Singh Khaira said in a statement here.
