Prabha Rau on Saturday took oath as Governor of Himachal Pradesh in a brief ceremony attended by Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and his Cabinet colleagues as well as former CM Virbhadra Singh and Leader of Opposition Vidya Stokes.

Chief Justice Jagdish Bhalla administered the oath to the incumbent Governor at Darbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, while Chief Secretary Asha Swaroop managed the proceedings of the function.
Rau is the third woman Governor of the hill state.
