As the month-long Indian cricket tour of Pakistan neared its end, the visiting cricketers went on a shopping spree picking up CDs, VCDs and clothes among other things.
Accompanied by security personnel, Tendulkar, Sehwag and Ashish Nehra went to Islamabad's Jinnah Super Market and bought VCDs, CDs and clothes for themselves and their family members.
The keepers of at least two shops - Repulse and Cotton Fabrics - said that Tendulkar and Sehwag visited their stores and bought VCDs and readymade clothes.
Repulse's owner Moni said that Tendulkar came looking for specific VCDs, like Lost in Translation, Roman Holiday and Snatch.
He said that the master batsman bought about 20 VCDs and CDs worth Rs 4,000. These discs, which are a big hit among the Indian players, are pretty cheap in Pakistan.
Sehwag, who is set to marry Aarti Singh in New Delhi on April 22, bought women's dresses, special Pakistani shoes for himself and probably for his younger brother Vinod and other members of his family.
Cotton Fabrics' proprietor Farooq said Sehwag spent Rs. 16,000 on the clothes, presumably in preparation for his wedding. Sehwag also bought clothes and other stuff worth Rs. 30,000 at Lahore.
"So what? It's okay. After all, I bought them for my family, so it does not matter spending the money once in a while," he said dismissively.

In Peshawar, which they visited last month for the second one-day international prior to the Test series, the players had bought Peshawari footwear and also visited a carpet showroom.
