Satisfaction is painting the world, says painter Aymun Naqvi

Aymun Naqvi, 20, a prolific artist and second-year undergraduate student at Jamia Millia Islamia, hosted her first art exhibition at a mall in New Delhi. The three-day exhibition started on Wednesday.

Aymun Naqvi, 20, a prolific artist and second-year undergraduate student at Jamia Millia Islamia, hosted her first art exhibition at a mall in New Delhi. The three-day exhibition started on Sunday.

"It gives me satisfaction to paint the world according to my imagination, at least on paper," said Aymun, who finds inspiration in things happening around her. The exhibition showcased artist's imagination and her interpretation of the world. Hailing from Amroah in Uttar Pradesh, the 20-year-old artist's work reflected the life in both a small town and a metropolitan city.

"I couldn't believe that my first exhibition received such an overwhelming response from the visitors," said the 20-year-old artist. "I'm so excited to see my art on the walls. I always wanted to become a professional artist, but I never expected to have my drawings showcased so soon," she added.
