School girl raped, murdered near Nasik

A 16-year-old school girl was allegedly raped and murdered near Mhasrul, about six km from Nasik, and a youth has been arrested in this connection, police said on Friday.
The victim, a class X student and resident of Ujjawal Nagar, Panchavati locality had been missing since Tuesday night. Her father searched for her but could not find her. The next day her body was found near a road, police said.
A medical report from Civil Hospital has revealed that she was strangulated after rape, they said.
Police arrested a youth, staying in same locality, on Thursday night in this connection.
