Shivanand Tiwari appointed JD (U) general secretary

Shivanand Tiwari, former spokesman of RJD who quit the party recently after differences with its chief Lalu Yadav, has been appointed as a general secretary and spokesman of JD(U), a prominent member of the BJP-led NDA.

The appointment was announced by party president Sharad Yadav on Tuesday.
