"The country is increasingly facing the menace of red terror and terrorism and all the political parties should come together and form a consensus on the issue," the minister said.
Naxalism is another form of terrorism and is spreading its roots in many states of the country, Sibal said adding that it has to be destroyed and for this a political unity is necessary, the minister said.
He called for a national consensus on the issue.
"At one hand, Opposition parties call for an action against the threats faced by the nation and when we brace for some action we don't get support in the Parliament," Sibal said.
