Slain Jharkhand police inspector Francis Induwar’s wife has been appointed as a teacher in a government school in Ranchi.

Governor K Sankaranarayanan handed over the appointment letter to Sunita at a function at the Jharkhand Armed Police grounds on Saturday.
Accepting the appointment letter, Sunita, who has been a housewife, said teachers were responsible for creating good officers and professionals. “I will discharge the duty of a teacher with full dedication.”
The state government has also promised free education to her three children. Besides, she will get Rs 10 lakh as compensation from the state police and Rs 11.5 lakh in insurance as per the government policy regarding kin of police personnel killed in Maoist violence.
Francis was kidnapped by Maoists on September 30 and his beheaded body was found on October 6. His captors had demanded the release of three of their arrested leaders, including Kobad Ghandy, in exchange for him.
