The family, hailing from Chatta (Mathura district) in UP, was returning from Sonepat when the incident took place.
The police said that the family boarded the Kurukshetra-Palwal local train at Sonepat and de-boarded at Palwal station around 11.25am on Friday. When the family members were crossing the track to board the bus, three members came under the speeding Jhelum Express. The fourth member survived.
The deceased were identified as Srimati, 50, Sadhana, 22, and her son Kanya, 12.
In similar incident, a mother-son duo was crushed when they were crossing a railway track in Faridabad on Thursday.
