T20 betting case: Vikram Aggarwal's anticipatory bail plea dismissed

The Madras high court today dismissed the anticipatory bail plea of hotelier Vikram Aggarwal, summoned by Chennai crime branch in connection with the cricket betting scandal.

The Madras high court on Thursday dismissed the anticipatory bail plea of hotelier Vikram Aggarwal, summoned by Chennai crime branch in connection with the cricket betting scandal.

Vikram is said to be the link between Gurunath Meiyappan and actor Vindoo Dara Singh and had been in touch with bookies under the police scanner.

The court also issued notice to the Mumbai crime branch on his bail plea in connection with the summons issued by it since it's probing his links with the two accused in the betting and spot-fixing scandal.
