The incident came to light when the girl Nidhi, a student of Class II at the Saraswati Bal Vidya Mandir returned home at Ashok Nagar in Ghatampur with the help of some teachers and narrated the incident to her mother Renuka. Initially, Renuka thought it was routine punishment but when her daughter started crying in the midnight, she saw her back that had turned blue with marks of stick.

Angry parents and several other guardians on Thursday reached the school and created ruckus, demanding strict action against the teacher. The principal of the school asked the parents to lodge an FIR at the Ghatampur police station and let the police take action against the accused teacher.

Reports said Ramendra Vishwakarma, a mathematics teacher, asked Nidhi to solve five questions. When Nidhi was attempting for the fourth question, Ramendra snatched the answersheet saying that she was taking too much time.

Angry Ramendra later tied hands and legs of Nidhi with chair and started beating her up till she fainted.
