The 17 year old boy from Dhuburi district in Assam surrendered on Friday night, after fleeing the delinquents' remand home, the police said.

He was earlier picked up by the police on Christmas Eve as a terror suspect after he was found close to a prohibited defence area near the port town of Vasco.

Following a week of interrogation, the court sent him to the state run remand home called Apna Ghar.

According to the police, the boy escaped from Apna Ghar on Jan 6 by breaking window grills of the facility, alleging that he was being tortured there.

He has requested the police not to send him to Apna Ghar again or his home in Assam and has asked for any kind of employment in Goa.
