About 400 artisans from various parts of the country are displaying their products at Dilli Haat along with colourful tribal dances and tribal cuisine.

The event will present a holistic picture of tribal culture and heritage in all its vibrancy and colour.

The exhibition, organized by the Tribal Cooperation Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED) an organisation of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, will be formally inaugurated by Minister of Tribal Affairs PR Kyndiah, tomorrow.

The objective of the Expo is to provide a platform to tribal artisans to showcase their rich and ethnic art and craft.

Tribal artisans from all over the country have brought their creations in metal, terracotta, textile, bamboo and forest products

TRIFED is aiming at providing institutional support to the tribal artisans so that art and craft making activity become a livelihood generating opportunity. The organisation has initiated a new concept of organising Tribal Artisan Mela (TAM) as an exercise to source tribal art and craft directly from the tribal artisans/ group of artisans.
