Two sisters charred to death, 34 houses gutted in fire

Two sisters, one of them a small girl, were charred to death in a fire at Pranpur village in Bihar's Begusarai district on Wednesday, police sources said.

Two sisters, one of them a small girl, were charred to death in a fire at Pranpur village in Bihar's Begusarai district on Wednesday, police sources said.

Manjida Khatun (14) and Khairun (2) were trapped in a fire that broke out in their house, the sources said, adding the blaze spread to five other houses gutting properties worth thousands of rupees.

In another incident, 16 houses of dalit community were razed in a fire at Gamharia village in state's East Champaran district, the sources said.

In the third incident of fire, 13 houses were gutted at Devnapatti in Madhubani district, the sources said.
