A United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) team will evaluate contributions made by it in the past five years in Bhutan, the Kuensel daily reported on Monday.
"We want to know what impact the money had made and not where the money is being spent," development economist, AK Shiva Kumar was quoted as saying in the paper.
"Countries send in annual reports stating positive achievements. The reports have to be crosschecked," said Kumar, who is also one of the experts in the evaluation team.
Bhutan is among the ten countries where the evaluation team will assess whether UNDP's programmes are in line with the government plans and how the programmes could be sustained in future.
