Want to throw the party of the year? Meet these planners
If Delhi's party planners and culinary artists are to be believed, an increasing number of millennials are now asking for all this and much more at their sophisticated soirees.india Updated: Apr 25, 2015 19:06 IST
Imagine being invited to dinner at a cozy home where a seasoned chef talks about how topography affects the taste of organic leaves on your salad plate or helps you explore and identify the umami flavours in your meal. Or better still, imagine attending a private party where everything from the exquisite bowls to the chopsticks are sourced straight from Japanese master craftsmen.
If Delhi's party planners and culinary artists are to be believed, an increasing number of millennials are now asking for all this and much more at their sophisticated soirees. Trend spotters say that opting for an intimate dinner gathering at home over clubbing or eating out at the latest hip restaurant is a sign that some diners at least crave for a more evolved and mature party experience. The nation's emerging rich also aspire to bring unrivalled luxury to the dining table.
Avni Biyani, concept head at Foodhall, an upmarket grocery store that has just launched a party chef service says, "We receive a lot of queries on how to replicate the dining out experience at home." Unsurprisingly, party caterers are now attempting to come up with brilliant gustatory and visual aesthetics to satisfy Delhi's craving for luxury.
