Speaking to reporters in Nagda on Monday, Agnivesh said that Kejriwal wanted Hazare to 'die' during the course of the hunger strike, so he could reap political benefits.

Agnivesh alleged that he wanted to announce an 'indefinite' hunger strike, but Kejriwal wanted the ageing Gandhian to undertake a fast unto death - because "sacrifices have to be made".

He said it was fortunate that the government agreed to all the demands on the fourth day of the hunger strike, and Hazare's life was spared.
