In a recently surfaced unusual video, a tortoise was caught “stealing” dog food from a store. Captured and posted by Twitter user @SlenderSherbet, the video shows the animal slowly munching on dog food from a big sack. Also, it seems oblivious to the fact that a human is standing nearby and capturing its “criminal activity”.
Posted on May 5 the video has garnered over 2.86 million views and 189,000 “likes”. Here’s the video:
The clip is accompanied by a caption that reads, “Security to aisle 7. Shoplifting in progress. There’s no rush.” To this, a fellow Twitter user defends the animal by jokingly commenting, “as someone with an amateur interest in tortoise law, I don’t believe that this constitutes shoplifting as my client has not yet eventually left the premises.” Here are some more humorous comments.
