The train could resume its onward journey after a delay of 2.5 hours and only after two engines --- one of a passenger train called in from Gangapur City junction in Sawai Madhopur and another of a goods train --- were attached to it.

Station Superintendent of Bayana J P Sharma said that railways engineers found that the power pipe and some other parts of the 12951-Rajdhani Express’s engine were damaged after it hit the bovine near Bayana station at 5:50 am. The engine was replaced by two other engines. The train finally began its onward journey at 8:20 am.

“The Rajdhani doesn’t have any scheduled stoppage at Bayana or Bharatpur junction. Its next stop was Mathura junction in Uttar Pradesh,” railway officials said.
