Rajasthan BJP leader’s house sealed over Rs 3.5 crore unpaid loan
Officials of Mumbai-based finance company sealed Motilal Dangi’s house when failed to pay the amount on the orders of court
The house of Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Udaipur unit chief, Motilal Dangi, here was sealed after he allegedly failed to repay Rs 3.5 crore loan he had taken from a Mumbai based finance company.
Officials of the finance company sealed Dangi’s house on Monday. Dangi is said to have an outstanding balance of more than Rs 3.5 crore and the action came when failed to pay the amount on the orders of court.
“We took possession of his residence after he failed to pay off our loan. We had sent him notices regarding the same,” the company’s representative told news agencies.
A team of officials from the finance company reached Dangi’s house located at Shiva Park area of the city in the afternoon. The process of sealing the house continued for more than two hours. As the team worked, several senior BJP leaders and activists remained present outside Dangi’s house.
The BJP leader’s family was inside the house and some of his supporters broke open the locks on three gates to bring them out.
