Rajasthan civil services result for 2016 out, Pali man topper

The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) Tuesday announced the results of Rajasthan Administrative and Allied Services Exam-2016.

Bhawani Singh of Pali emerged as topper followed by Sachin Yadav of Jaipur and Damodar Singh of Karauli. In the top 10, there are two candidates from Jaipur, RPSC chairman RD Saini said while releasing the result.

More than 3 lakh aspirants had appeared in the preliminary examination held on August 28, 2016. The results of the prelims were announced on September 15, 2016.

Some candidates had then filed a writ in the Rajasthan high court over a wrong question. Another writ was filed on the issue of cut-off for different categories. The court had then put on hold the exam process. The stay was lifted by double bench.

The mains were held on March 27 and 28 this year in which 15,638 candidates appeared. The interviews began on August 2 for the 725 RAS and allied services posts. 1,800 candidates appeared for the interviews.
