Rajasthan police on Tuesday recovered a decapitated wrist of a man near the Udaipur-Ahmedabad highway, some 28km away from the spot where his body was found after he met with an accident.
The wrist was first spotted by a truck driver when he stopped by the roadside to relieve himself. He informed the NHAI toll booth staff, who, in turn, informed Kherwada police about it.
Ratan Singh, station house officer of Kherwara, on Thursday said after recovering the wrist they sent out messages to other police stations of the district.
“In the evening, Bicchiwara police station in Dungarpur district informed us that they found a body without a wrist. When we sent the body part, they confirmed it was of the body recovered by them,” Singh said.
During further investigation, it was revealed that the victim was from Hisar in Haryana. He met with a road accident on December 18 near Bicchiwara village, some 28 kilometers from Kherwada.
Police identified the deceased as Vinod Kumar, who ran a mobile phones shop in Hisar.

The body was handed over to family after post-mortem.
