Former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Kalyan Singh on Wednesday said his Jankranti Party would contest the next assembly elections in the state alone and put up candidates in all the 403 seats.
"Jankranti Party would go to the 2012 assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh alone, fielding its candidates in all the 403 seats ", Singh told newspersons in Lucknow.
Singh, who celebrated his 77th birthday on Wednesday, said he, along with his son, who is the president of the party, would tour the state extensively in February in preparation for the coming elections.
"By March-April, we would declare the names of all the candidates", Singh, who is patron of the party, said adding efforts would be to give about 40% tickets to youth and priority to women candidates.
To a question, Singh said that there was no difference between BSP, SP and BJP when it comes to scams and corruption as all the parties, including Congress, are facing serious charges on this front.
The former BJP leader, who is identified with Ram temple movement and had to resign as chief minister in the wake of demolition of Babri mosque in 1992, said though he is committed to the construction of a grand temple in Ayodhya he wanted that the issue is not politicised.

Jankranti Party, which was floated on the previous birthday of Singh, would now be known as Jankranti Party (nationalist). The Election Commission had raised certain objections to the earlier name, following which it was decided to rename the party as Jankranti Party (nationalist).
