American teen Carter Wilkerson’s tweet in which he asked fast food chain Wendy’s for a year’s supply of chicken nuggets has become the most retweeted tweet ever. He dethroned TV host Ellen DegGeneres’ famous Oscars selfie from 2014.
On April 5, Wilkerson tweeted at Wendy’s and asked them how many retweets were needed for a year of free chicken nuggets.
Wendy’s asked for “18 million” retweets. Wilkerson replied “Consider it done” and posted the screenshot of this conversation with “Help me please, a man needs his nuggs” to ask for retweets.

Ellen’s previous record-holding tweet had 3.4 million RTs. Carter’s tweet on Tuesday broke that record, which was confirmed by none other than Wendy’s official handle. They also had some good news for him.
The nuggets, if he still wants them, are his.
