The state information technology (IT) department has found multiple errors in the data provided by the banks.

In several cases, hundreds of farmers have been linked with the same Aadhaar number, which has created difficulty in verifying details and clearing waiver applications of the farmers. Some of the other errors include couples having the same Aadhaar number and discrepancies in the loan principal and interest amounts. Fadnavis also directed banks to start transferring the amounts to loan accounts from Thursday.

He also asked banks officials to coordinate with the state IT department to rectify the errors. “Each bank should appoint an IT expert to coordinate with the state IT department to resolve such issues,” Fadnavis added.
