Taking cognisance of popular comedy actor Kapil Sharma’s tweet that he was asked to pay a bribe by a civic officer to get his work done, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has asked civic chief to take strict action against the concerned officer.
On Friday morning, Sharma took to twitter to vent his frustration on being asked to pay Rs5 lakh to a BMC official to get his office done. The TV star even tagged Prime Minister Narendra Modi asking “Yeh hai aapke acche din?”

Fadnavis responded to Sharma’sl tweet ‘assuring action against the errant official. Fadnavis also said that the government will not spare the culprit. Fadnavis tweeted, “Kapilbhai pls provide all info. Have directed MC, BMC to take strictest action. We will not spare the culprit.”
Earlier , the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) asked him to reveal the name of the official who demanded a bribe. The BMC’s vigilance department issued a statement that they will take serious note of the incident. Manohar Pawar, chief of vigilance said, “We request Mr Sharma to share the name of the official and enable BMC to take strict action.”
