Fadnavis and industries minister Subhash Desai will be part of a delegation led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Make In India event to be held in the country on October 12 and 13.

The CM will participate in sessions that will focus on investment opportunities, start-ups and key areas of investments such as health care and smart cities. He will also meet the Swedish Prime Minister, defence minister, trade and commerce minister and executives of multinational companies on the sidelines of the conclave. He is expected to follow up on the memorandum of understandings signed during the Make In India week organised in Mumbai last year. More than 18 Swedish companies had participated in the event.

The two-day Sweden tour is the second foreign trip undertaken by Fadnavis within 12 days. He was on a four-day tour to Korea and Singapore from September 26 to 29. The CM-led delegation signed memorandums of understanding and agreements with the financial corporations and state-controlled agencies of both the countries for Maharashtra government’s ambitious projects such as Mumbai-Nagpur Samruddhi corridor, smart cities in Pune, Nagpur and Kalyan-Dombivli and redevelopment of the Bandra government colony.
