On Tuesday morning, two more villagers, who were allegedly involved in the Kalyan violence, were arrested. Police confirmed the arrest and said the drone they had deployed helped them nab several people who were involved in the violence.
“We have arrested two more people who were involved in pelting stones and abusing policemen. While the villagers whose family members have been booked are not ready to share their whereabouts with us, we suspect that they are in contact with the person,” said a police officer from Thane crime branch.

Police had deployed a drone to help them in their probe on Monday, which has helped to arrest 10 villagers. The total number of people arrested so far has gone up to 32. “We had used a drone on Monday, but by evening it malfunctioned and fell down, which has damaged its parts. We have sent it for repair, but we doubt we will be able to use it in the rain. We have asked the patrolling team to keep vigil, and give us regular updates about the suspects in and around the village” added officer.
