Merit list for Maharashtra medical, dental college admissions to be announced today

Mumbai city news: Registrations for the admissions started in June. While all other states have already declared their list, Maharashtra is the last in making the announcement.

The state Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) will release the merit list (SML) for medical and dental college admissions today.

“The merit list will decide which student can come for counselling on which day. After document verification, all eligible students can start filling forms online. We hope to announce the first merit list before July 30,” said Dr Pravin Shingare director, DMER.

Registrations for the admissions started in June. While all other states have already declared their list, Maharashtra is the last in making the announcement.

He said banks receiving challans for the registration process will submit information on students by today afternoon and students can expect the merit list to be released by 8-9pm today

“All admissions in state medical and dental colleges will be conducted based on the list declared by the state. First preference will be given to domiciled students. We have already wasted more than two weeks in registrations,” said Sudha Shenoy, parent of a medical aspirant.
